That's what I mean, though. CCP isn't willing to actually give Amarr this staying power, so they need to give us versatility. They give our ships a few hundred extra armor HP, a few hundred extra cap(with recharge time increased to compensate) and call Amarr 'The Masters of Armor and Cap' when all we really are, is the other races -versatility.
CCP needs to give Amarr versatility, since they won't make us good enough to not have it.
Edit: I would love if they actually made Amarr ships how they should be, as that's why I picked the race. But they won't, so there's no point in asking for it, IMO.
I agree wholeheartedly. I WISH Amarr would be like that (since I spend most of my time in amarrian ships), but the thing is that if Amarr were like that, all other races gunboats would be sorta outclassed. What I mean is, gunships are supposed to equal, for the most part, tank + gank. It just so happens that Amarrian ships are almost ALL tank + gank. So thus if all of their tank + gank ships were better than other races, not many people would use tank + gank ships of the other races.
One suggestion, as Grimpak said in his quote about saying power, would just be to make amarrian ships able to hold their tank + gank ships for longer and to make them more immune to being NOSed/NEUTed. This would make them "better gunboats" w/o making them do more damage or able to tank more in the short term. Of course, this is NOT how it is now sadly lol, having capacitor being our major weakness.
Either this or something like if CCP gave amarr the best tank/gank ratio w/o giving them the BEST gank and the BEST tank. Mimatar or Gallente shoud have the best gank and Caldari the best tank (I guess) I dont know im just brainstorming here lol.
But I think that, for the most part, if Amarrian capacitors were boosted across the board (as the OP said, by liek 5 or 10% by amount while keeping the base recharge the same), and EANM + DC armor EM stacking looked at, Amarr would be in a good enough situation. While I like most of the OPs ideas, I agree with what some people have said, which is that its just not pratical, at least not all in one go.
